Every fall Bay Chapter of CCA MS hosts the Ernie Zimmerman & Friends live catch tournament out of Bay Marina. Always a good time, food, prizes and educational experiences for the kids. These fish are given to the Gulf Coast Research Lab to use as brood stock. All trout must be caught north of the Hwy. 90 train bridge to be put into the stock, keeping the genetics pure for our estuary.
On March 26 the Gulf Coast Research Lab held a larval release at 2 locations in the Bay of St. Louis. Trout were released at the Necaise and Cedar Point boat launches.
